The Political Science Department was the perfect setting for an intimate InteRDom information session and pizza party at Saint Peter’s University on March 20, 2014, organized and co-hosted by Carlos Gonzalez, InteRDom alumnus, current InteRDom Correspondent, and current student at Saint Peter’s University.
InteRDom representatives were greeted with a packed house of interested students, and began the presentation withGonzalez’s student testimonial video before giving the floor to Gonzalez to speak about his internship experience last summer in the Dominican Republic. InteRDom representatives followed Gonzalez to give details about the program and to promote available internships for the 2014 summer term. Dr. Alexander Mirescu, political science professor at St. Peter’s University, was also in attendance, promoting the program further among the students at the event.
InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), is the premier internship, research and academic study program in the Dominican Republic. It offers international students the opportunity to research important topics at the forefront of the United Nations agenda, obtain professional experience by interning with Dominican organizations and businesses related to their fields of study and/or earn academic credits by taking courses and seminars at a local university.
