Con toda seriedad, la República Dominicana es el país más bello del mundo. Puede ser que soy totalmente parcial, pero el ambiente aquí está tan lleno de vida donde quiera que uno vaya y los ecosistemas que encontramos son tan diversos que creo que hay un espacio para todos los habitantes del planeta en esta pequeña isla. Dejarse guiar por el instinto (El dicho en ingles: Flying by the seat of one’s pants). Aunque yo había oído esta frase recientemente, es perfecto para resumir mi viaje. Por ejemplo, solo necesitaba una conversación en un elevador para convencerme a solicitar. Esta semana, aprendí que mi pasantita estaba necesaria para mi nuevo trabajo en Miami. Tengo dos meses y medio de haber llegado a la República Dominicana y todavía no he comido sancocho. Es una aberración que va en contra de todo lo que he defendido, de mi "dominicanidad". Lo he tenido en mente desde que puse el pie en este país, pero las probabilidades han estado en mi contra; cada vez que tenía la oportunidad de disfrutar de este delicioso plato, algo se interponía en mi camino. Mi jefe está de buen humor

"¡Levanten el campamento!", grita el señor Ortíz mientras sale furioso de su oficina con la maleta en la mano y apagando las luces. Malge, Domingo y yo inmediatamente nos sentimos poseídos por una sonrisa secreta. Esa es la forma en que nuestro jefe nos da luz verde para irnos a casa, y durante los tres primeros días de la semana, el escenario se repitió de forma idéntica. Mi fin de semana

Cuando planeo un viaje de fin de semana para desaparecerme de todas las locuras de donde vivo, planeo cuidadosamente por donde me voy a quedar, donde voy ha ir, y cuando voy. Esta vez, no hice nada de eso. Krysta (otra pasante del programa) pensó en una gran idea para escapar la ciudad y ir a 27 charcos por el fin de semana.
