The third InteRDom Internship Certification Program Seminar was held for ten organizations at the Santo Domingo headquarters of Fundacion Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) on April 14 & 15. This innovative training program is designed to capacitate directors and employees of organizations interested in implementing new internship programs or in improving existing ones in their respective companies or institutions.
Joaquín Salazar, an expert in internships, developed the content for the Certification Program. Sarah Romero, Coordinator of Corporate Relations and Internships for the InteRDom Program, moderated the dialogue between the facilitator and participants.
Ten organizations were represented and came prepared with pertinent material for the internships they will be offering this summer and fall. Some of the organizations include: Sur Futuro, Remesas Dominicanas of the BHD Group, Banco Popular, Logos Christian College, I-Global and the Observatorio Politico Dominicano (OPD), among others.
The certification program was organized by InteRDom, an initiative of the Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) and its sister organization Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD). InteRDom promotes professional exchange between universities, international students and companies, while sponsoring training initiatives that stimulate development, diversity and positive work culture.
