Next Information Session for the Insular Spanish Caribbean Communities Program in the Dominican Republic Will Provide Application Information

The Insular Spanish Caribbean Communities is a multidisciplinary program that focuses on the study and analysis of Caribbean groups living in the United States. Participants will learn about the sociological aspects, demographic characteristics and ethnic, cultural and political profiles of these groups within contemporary American society.

To participate in this information session, reserve your place by sending an email to info@interdominternships.org The meeting will take place in the City College Study Abroad Office on Friday, October 26 at 12:00 noon.

The program will run from January 2-24, 2013 in the Dominican Republic at the
Instituto Global de Altos Estudios de Ciencias Sociales (Global Institute for Superior Studies of Social Science) under the direction of renowned international experts.

The Insular Spanish Caribbean Communities is the result of collaboration between InteRDom and the Dominican Studies Institute (DSI), the Study Abroad Program of City College and the Global Institute (IGlobal). This initiative contributes to the goals of the Inter-University Program for Latino Research (IUPLR) and efforts underway by the Fellows Program to draft innovative proposals on regional development before the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

InteRDom and the Fellows Program are initiatives of the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and its sister institution in the Dominican Republic, the Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE).
