InteRDom seeks to strengthen its connection with the Dominican Diaspora in New York City by hosting an information session in conjunction with the Dominican Student Association of the City College of New York (CCNY) on April 2, 2009.
The City University of New York (CUNY) system, which includes 19 colleges and universities throughout the state of New York, including City College, has historically graduated more students of Dominican descent than any other university in the United States, with the number around 35,000 and rising. The Dominican Student Association of City College has a strong presence and influence on the City College campus.
The information session will be an opportunity for City College students to meet the InteRDom team, see a brief presentation and video about the program, and to collect information and ask questions about the exciting new internship offering for the fall of 2009. All City College students—even those who are not members of the Dominican Student Association—are encouraged to attend.
Interested students can drop off their resumes and fill out application forms for the program at the information session, as well as discuss their research projects with team members. Light refreshments will be served.
To make an advance appointment to meet individually with an InteRDom team member, please send an email to students@interdominternships.org.
