InteRDom Internships in the Dominican Republic, an initiative of the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), is pleased to announce the opening of internship opportunities at prestigious organizations affiliated with the program.

The InteRDom program offers undergraduate and gap year students the opportunity to take part in internships in a Dominican organization for 25 – 35 hours per week. Students can also take courses at the universities affiliated to the program, Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) and at the Global Institute of Higher Studies in Social Sciences (IGlobal), for which they would receive academic credit. Students in pursuit of a Master’s, postgraduate or doctoral degree may choose to combine their internship and/or study experience with high-level research relevant to the development of the region through the Fellows Program, an extension of the InteRDom program which provides consulting and guidance to conduct this type of work, as well as the opportunity to publish the results.
All interns and researchers may immerse themselves in the accelerated process of economic development of the country, and participate in cultural and academic activities and professional events offered by FUNGLODE and GFDD.

Requirements to apply:
Applicants must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.9, have completed 60% of their academic program, and have basic to intermediate level proficiency in the Spanish language. Students who need extra reinforcement in the Spanish language may also choose to take a specialized intermediate – level course to further boost their language skills.
InteRDom Internships is the premier internship, research and academic study program in the Dominican Republic.
