InteRDom is pleased to announce an innovative and atypical internship offering in the area of hospitality and tourism at a boutique hotel in Las Galeras, Dominican Republic, on the Samaná peninsula on the north coast of the island.
The internship is unique in that smaller, boutique hotels are a growing industry in the Dominican Republic; in difference to larger resorts they give more personalized attention to guests. The Samaná peninsula as a tourist destination is also becoming more and more competitive, as it is the site of the renowned whale-watching excursions during whale migration season in midwinter.
Students interested in hotel management, specifically food and beverage administration and production, should take advantage of this opportunity and applyfor this internship in the center of the tourism industry in the Caribbean.
This particular internship offering is part of InteRDom’s current effort to increase the number of hospitality and tourism internships available through the program. The Dominican Republic is currently a hot spot for hospitality and tourism students, as the all-inclusive resort industry is slowly beginning to convert to more sustainable models.
To apply for this and other positions, register on the InteRDom webpage, fill out the InteRDom Application Form and send it, along with your resume and cover letter to info@interdominternships.org. The deadline to submit applications for all spring internships is October 28, 2011.
