The internship program, InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), announces the start of the Spring Semester (January 5 – April 24, 2009) enrollment period, August 1, 2008. The deadline to submit applications is November 7, 2008.
Through the InteRDom Program, undergraduate and graduate students have the opportunity to take a wide array of academic courses in Spanish at the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE). Students have the option of registering for course offerings in the following disciplines: Art, Business, Communications, Education, Engineering, Environmental Studies, History, Information and Communication Technologies, Law, Medicine and Psychology.
Each semester, InteRDom offers specialized courses tailored to InteRDom students on Dominican History and Culture and Spanish as a Foreign Language.

Contemporary Caribbean Culture
During Fall and Spring Semesters, InteRDom students have the ability to take classes with Dominican students. This presents an excellent opportunity for students to further their studies within a Spanish-speaking context, permitting accelerated growth in the area of language acquisition and application.

Requirements to Apply:
Applicants must possess a minimal GPA of 2.9, have completed 60% of their academic program, and have taken 3 university-level Spanish courses.
