The internship program, InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundacion Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), is currently accepting applications for the Fall Semester (September 6 – December 17, 2009), and is excited to announce some exciting internship opportunities for students of various study areas in the Dominican Political Observatory (OPD).
Each of the internships at the OPD will afford students the opportunity to collaborate on innovative projects related to democracy and civil and industrial justice. In addition to these opportunities, InteRDom is also looking for interns to collaborate with the 4th Annual Dominican Republic Global Film Festival (DRGFF), which will take place in 5 cities of the Dominican Republic from November 16 until the 21st. Interns may get involved in the festival in a variety of different ways including: marketing, communications, business and community outreach.
The deadline to submit applications for all fall internships is July 15, 2010.
Through the InteRDom Program, both undergraduate and graduate students have the opportunity to take a wide variety of academic courses in Spanish with other Dominican students at the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE). This presents an excellent opportunity for students to further their studies within a Spanish-speaking context, permitting accelerated growth in the area of language acquisition and application. See List of Courses Open to All InteRDom Students
Students that need extra reinforcement in the Spanish language can also choose to take a specialized intermediate course to give their language skills an extra boost.
