On Monday, June 15, as part of a multi-day orientation session, InteRDom will organize a Business Day to acquaint students with the intricacies of their internships. During the event, representatives from participating organizations and businesses will present in-depth descriptions of the programs and projects in which the interns will be working. Students will have the opportunity to meet with their respective employers, become familiar with their institutions’ training programs, and ask questions prior to beginning their internships. The event will take place at FUNGLODE Headquarters in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
InteRDom’s Business day plays a pivotal role, not only in orienting interns to their new work environments and responsibilities, but also in expanding students’ understanding of the objectives and work procedures of a variety of companies and organizations representing diverse economic sectors in the Dominican Republic.
InteRDom, an initiative of Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), offers students the opportunity to gain professional experience by interning with Dominican organizations and businesses related to their field of study.
The Program fosters and promotes the professional, academic, scientific, technological and cultural exchange of students and professionals in public, private and non-profit organizations of the Dominican Republic. It significantly contributes to the development of the nation’s employment sector and the advancement of academic research, while providing spaces for personal and professional growth, internationalization and multicultural understanding.
