In keeping with its mission to promote academic and cultural exchange, internationalization and cultural understanding, InteRDom will attend the International Conference of the Americas (known by its Spanish acronym, CILA) at the Barceló Bávaro hotel in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic from October 28 – November 1, 2009.
InteRDom will have a stand at the conference to promote the internship exchange program amongst the participants, and will also serve as a host for the international guests of honor.
CILA is sponsored by InteRDom’s partner organization, the United Nations Association of the Dominican Republic (UNA-DR) with the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), its sister organization Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE), and in conjunction with the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA). It is an opportunity for 1,500 youth from all over the world to come together in a sense of diplomacy and cooperation to seek solutions to the challenges that face the international community.
The conference will simulate 14 different commissions and organisms of the United Nations and other multilateral, regional and international institutions, as well as offer seminars, conferences, workshops, activities and exhibitions related to the United Nations Millennium objectives.
All activities will take place in English, Spanish and French.
